Join the Boa Onda Guesthouse Peniche team for our 2026 season, running from April 1st through early November in Portugal.
We are a dedicated community committed to delivering exceptional surf and yoga experiences, and we are looking for self-motivated, experienced individuals who share our passion for high-standard hospitality.

The Commitment: Paid Staff vs. Volunteers
The quality of our guest experience relies on a stable, dedicated team. Please carefully review the commitment levels required for both paid and volunteer positions below.
Paid Staff : Full season commitment April to October 2026.
Competitive starting salary and accommodation assistance. We offer accelerated, performance-based growth. Compensation potential is high, as we reward demonstrated value. Gain essential hospitality and tourism skills.
Volunteers: Minimum 2 months required (8 weeks)
Shared accommodation and meals provided in exchange for service. Focus is on gaining targeted experience and building a professional portfolio.

Boa Onda Guesthouse Peniche is currently hiring some figures to complete the team for the new season starting in April/May.
A variety of paid and volunteer positions are available depending on commitment and experience.
Volunteer Positions 2026
(Minimum 2 Months)
We offer specialized volunteer opportunities for dedicated individuals looking to exchange skills for experience and unique perks. This is a minimum 8-week, non-employment arrangement where volunteers commit approximately 25/30 hours per week according to their specialized role.
Note: We are currently prioritizing applicants available for roles starting in late March, April, or May 2026. Applications for the peak summer months (July/August) will be reviewed at a later date.
Volunteer Benefits
In return for your commitment, Boa Onda provides shared staff accommodation, daily breakfast, kitchen access, and a food allowance. You will also get exceptional access to the guesthouse lifestyle:
- Complimentary participation in surf and yoga classes.
- Use of guesthouse equipment, including surfboards, wetsuits, skateboards, and bikes.
- A professional reference upon successful completion of your contract period.
Role Details
- Breakfast & Housekeeping Assistants: Support the House Standards Lead. Duties involve preparing rooms for arriving guests, ensuring deep cleanliness standards are met throughout the house, and assisting with daily breakfast.
- Reception Assistants: Provide a warm welcome and seamless stay. Duties include basic check-in/out procedures, providing local information, managing inquiries, and essential administrative support.
- Content Creators: Focus on generating high-quality photo and video assets for marketing use. To apply, you must submit a portfolio or specific work examples demonstrating your production and editing skills.
- Yoga Teachers: Must hold a recognized and current teaching certification. You will professionally lead scheduled, accessible yoga sessions for our guests.
- Surf Assistants (Mid/High Season Only): Focus on essential logistical and equipment support. Requires a valid driver’s license and current First Aid (CPR) certification. Tasks include gear prep and upkeep, and on-beach assistance (especially with families).

To be considered for a 2026 position, your application email must be personal and directly address the following points. If you are applying for a paid position all five points must be included.
- Role & Availability: Clearly state the specific Role Type (Paid or Volunteer), the specific Position (e.g., Paid Receptionist), and your exact available dates (e.g., “April 1st to October 31st”).
- Professional Contribution: Explain how your specific work experience will directly improve one measurable aspect of the Boa Onda Guesthouse operation. (Tell us what you will do, not simply what you love.)
- Work Experience: Attach a comprehensive professional CV detailing all relevant work experience, education, and certifications.
- Language Proficiency: List all languages in which you are professionally or conversationally fluent. Only include languages you can genuinely communicate in effectively.
- Reference: Include contact information (Name, Role, Email/Phone) for one professional or work-related reference.
